Metizport reveal new roster changes ahead of VCL Polaris

Norwegian esports organization Metizport have announced a slew of roster changes before Split 1 of VCL Northern Europe: Polaris.

The org announced they would be parting ways with players Ralle and Martux last month and on January 7th, they announced the release of Cintyx as well. Replacing them on the roster is Dreamas, HearthBeat, and vong.

Dreamas is one of the most experienced players in the Tier 2 EMEA scene at the moment, having previously played for teams such as HONK, LDN UTD, and Team Liquid. The Lithuanian was a free agent in the last Split of 2023, although he did compete with a few mixes during that time. The last team he competed for was B8 Esports from January to March 2023.

HearthBeat is another player with a lot of experience, with the Italian having played for Case Esports, Angry Titans, and GMT Esports. He competed with the latter team in the 2023 season, where they qualified for VCT EMEA Ascension Play-Ins. The 23-year-old then signed with RTZN in the offseason and competed with them in the Italian VCL offseason tournament, where they placed second, but the team later disbanded.

vong is a household name in the Norwegian esports scene, being one of the country’s best players. The 24-year-old has competed for teams such as Movistar Riders, FOKUS, and Les Petit Bouffons. He spent majority of 2023 with Les Petit Bouffons, where they competed in VCL Polaris. Additionally, the Norwegian player competed for various teams during the recent offseason. He brings a lot of experience and firepower to the team.

The three newcomers join Spolen and Demiurge on the roster. NFist is the Head Coach of the team.

Metizport is one of the invited teams to the Northern European Challengers League. They are coming off a big year, having recently won the Norwegian Valorant League Hosten tournament in December and reaching the quarter finals in the Stryda Valorant Nordic Clash. With the recent additions to the roster, hopes will now be much higher.

Split 1 of VCL Northern Europe: Polaris is set to start in February 2024.
