ESC Gaming have revealed their new Valorant roster on X (formerly Twitter). The team consists of Hitch, shy, krm, r1zvaN, and kwixy.
Hitch and kiwxy both originally joined the team on September 16th, where they competed with ESC in the VEU offseason tournament. The team went 1–6, finishing in seventh place and missing out on the playoffs. Since then, kwixy has stood in for teams and mixes in other offseason tournaments. Additionally, he left the team in late October.
On November 19th, it was announced that Hitch had signed a long term contract to stay with ESC Gaming. The organization had secured a spot in VCL East: Surge and now just needed to complete the rest of their roster.
Returning from the old roster is kwixy. The Hungarian player competed with ESC in a couple of the org’s matchups in the VEU offseason event. Before that, he had competed with Hungarian team Rapid Ninjas. Originally joining them in May of 2022, the roster made their name known in the Tier 3 Eastern European scene. Eventually they qualified for VCL East, where they competed in both Splits this year. They placed fifth in Split 1 and tenth in Split 2 after the roster split up.
Rounding out the roster is shy, krm, and r1zvaN. These are all three of the best up and coming players in the EMEA scene. shy formerly competed for Entropy, Unicorns of Love, and LIONS. The German player also played for VCL Rejects in one of the PROJECT V offseason tournaments. krm has competed for teams such as Wizard Esports, ONLINERS, and Team Galaga. The French player was also a substitute for ZETA Gaming at one point. Last but not least is Bosnian player r1zvaN. The 20-year-old has been one of the best and most consistent players in the Eastern European Tier 3 scene for a while now and will get to prove himself in the Tier 2 scene. Previously competing for teams such as PURPURE and ACE eSports, he will be a strong addition to the team.
The Head Coach for the team is Chippy. The Ukrainian previously coached EVOPLAY.
ESC Gaming first entered Valorant in 2022, where they competed in the DACH region. They did decent but missed out on the big events of PROJECT V. The roster later disbanded and ESC signed a new roster for VRC East (VEU). That roster ended up placing second in the Season 2 Finals of Stage 1. Included in that roster was r1zvaN, who put up really good numbers though out the whole event.
ESC Gaming’s new roster will debut in VCL East: Surge Stage 1, which is set to start on January 15th.
